There are many WordPress theme stores out there, but most offer cheap templates with sub par code and poor service.  Big theme stores are especially at the mercy of this problem because they simply don’t have the resources to ensure each and every author has clean and reliable code.  On top of that, customer support for each theme is entirely up to the author; so when they quit supporting a theme, or are just plain lazy, it leaves your new site looking decrepit in no time.

As WordPress itself undergoes updates, aspects of the code on your theme may be incompatible.  Now you’re looking at a few headaches and you have to find a reliable developer who isn’t going to rip you off.
