Why we love WordPress.
Aside from WordPress being the most popular web building platform – about 1 in 6 websites on the net – WordPress (WP) takes a lot of weight off developers’ shoulders. Here are a few reasons why we love WP and can’t get enough of it.
- It constantly evolves: Because WP is an open source platform, we see tonnes of community fixes and contributions. Updates are usually a breeze and the latest security holes get patched up.
- Lots of people have adopted WP over other CMS’s. Going with WordPress usually allows you fire your current dev and hire another one easily. You may be stuck with a site if it was built with an in-house CMS.
- A wealth of resources exists out there. You really don’t have to code everything. There are many plugins, theme libraries and tutorials that exist out there, many of them free.
- Relatively easy to use. But we found we could improve the user experience so we created Mojitosites.com
